As salaam alaikum
I have braces and some of my front and bottom teeth have ridges, they’re not straight. These are mamelons and it seems mostly children have these as often adult teeth straighten these out as they grind down with time. Only I have an overbite so mine have always been like that. I also have 2 longer teeth at the front.
As part of my braces, I get the choice of having teeth filed down or straightened for free. My teeth are an insecurity so I wanted to do this but have heard it might not be permissible? I was wondering if I could do it for the larger two teeth as the enamel has worn too so it would correct that and get rid of the mamelons and make them the same size as surrounding teeth?
