I wanted to ask that if someone sends children to a private school and pays some fees, but doesnt complete it and school said that if he pays then he can get certificate if didnt pay he doesnt. It has been years now he didnt pay because he couldnt. But the school still has the certificates. Is the man on debt or is it exchange of value?
Also another ruling on Riba, someone borrows from bank, with interest because of jahilia, and doesnt pay or forgets and years passed now the amount became massive from interests. But the person doesnt want to pay interest and told the bank he will only pay what he borrowed because Islam rules it. If the bank refuses to accept the borrowed amount and insists on interest payment what should the man do? should he pay or not?
