Assalamualaikum. My question is whether raising your voice at your father, when he is putting his hands on your mother and younger sibling, is forbidden? My question arises due to a heated situation where my father was being excessively aggressive. At first I tried to simply push him away and block him from reaching my younger sibling but he kept lunging towards him while being verbally abusive. During the whole debacle he put his hands on my mother which is when I snapped and yelled at him to not touch her. I understand the importance of parents in Islam, which is an argument being used to make me feel like I should apologize and that the parent is never wrong. I simply want guidance on this topic.
