Long story short after the husband leaves the family and the title of “man of the home” is past down to eldest child, what should be done if the eldest child clearly has a mental disability, where does the title previously mentioned above go to? For example; 3 boys, the eldest is disabled but the other two well exceed the first child’s leadership and mental capabilities. Where does the title fall onto? The eldest? The mother? The second born? Who? Please. Help. I need to know this answer because I’m questioning my faith for Islam and I don’t want to leave. -Ali in Canada.
