My dad always speaks to me about my mum in bad ways saying she’s sick and other things I never spoke back because I’m scared to be disrespectful. However recently I confronted my dad about this and that he backbites about my mum to his sister and he justified it by saying it’s permissible in Islam for a husband to speak about his wife to a family member. My father isn’t speaking to me currently I don’t know what to do and I feel very depressed. Was what I did right to confront my dad and tell him not to do that anymore?
