AoA..I am blessed with a six year old daughter who is the light of my life..I am content in my heart.. Allah knows  best whether I will have any more children or not..However people keep on telling me that having a son is very important.I dont think that I think that if I have any more children I will be content with a normal healthy child regardless of boy or a girl..I wanted to know that is there any reason that in our society boys are more valued than girls?..As long as I am thankful to Allah for the child that He has blessed me with is there any reason that someone anyone should specifically pray for a son if you dont have one?isnt it okay to just pray for a normal healthy child if you want to when expecting? Also I wanted to know that a wife’s first responsibility is her husband however as a daughter isnt she as responsible for her parents as her brother is or what if there is no brother or the brother lives far and the daughter near doesnt the girl have a responsibility towards her parents in Islam?thank you
