My Brother made a statement that Islam incorporated 5 times salat from the Zoroastrians. I was not able to get from him his source as I got a bit emotional in trying to explain to him how Salah was developed as part of normative Sunni Islam. He also made the point that the 5 times Salah as was taught by Rasullah was inspired partly from his travels when he was trading.
As such the question is what sources can I provide him such that he is able to come around and be convinced what he thinks currently is wrong. My brother is someone who likens himself to someone who thinks for himself. He does not like follow something blindly ( his words).
