Salam alikoum,
My question is about ruining my fast in Ramadan. I am embarrassed to say I have committed the sin of zina during Ramadan and I feel extremely guilty. While I was fasting I intentionally broke my fast by drinking water and then I had sex with a women who is not my wife. What can I do to receive forgiveness from Allah inshallah? Will I have to make up this day or will I have to fast 60 consecutive days? I am not sure because I broke my fast by drinking water before I had sex so I don’t know if I would have to make up this day or if I would have to fast the 2 months straight in a row. Please let me know, this is concerning me a lot. Thank you so much.
