Opportunities for Muslim Leaders!

Postgraduate Award in Islamic Education” and “Muslim Leaders Development Fund”

Warwick university is pioneering a short course (one term only) to bridge the gap between the knowledge of Islamic seminaries and modern higher education. It is the first course of this nature to be offered at any UK university.

It is aimed at faith leaders and Islamic seminaries who wish to expand into teaching.

It is also open to teachers and volunteers involved with the organisation and delivery of education in the supplementary mosques schools (madrassas/maktabs), Muslim faith-based schools and higher education institutions.

You do not need a bachelor’s degree to apply, but some equivalent is necessary, such as being a Muslim seminary graduate or graduates from other disciplines.

Having teaching experience within formal and informal community based-educational settings (Islamic schools and supplementary education sector like Madrassas and Maktabs) with plans to move into the field of Education in general and Islamic Education specifically as a professional and academic area of development will be also considered as part of the admission process.
