In moments like this it is not enough to remain silent or watch on from the side-lines. It is up to all of us to understand the racial inequality and pain experienced by black people, and to call out anti-black racism, in whatever shape and form we see it and wherever we see it.
The Muslim community in the UK can and must do more to stand in solidarity with Black Muslims and the Black British community.
