Imams Online Reacts to Latest ISIL Video

Imams Online reacts to the latest ISIL video

Imams across the UK strongly condemn ISIL’s latest video fronted by British hostage, John Cantlie. In the same week that ISIL murdered the aid worker David Haines, ISIL continues to show that it runs counter to everything that Islam stands for.

A spokesperson for Imams Online said:

“We stand united in our condemnation of the barbaric and abhorrent actions of these terrorists. We stand united in saying that this group [ISIL] have nothing to do with Islam, our peaceful and tolerant religion”.

Today, Imams from across the UK will lead a extended Juma’ah – the weekly Friday prayers – to lend their support to the families of British murder victim David Haines and the hostages Alan Henning and John Cantlie.

Shaukat Warraich Editor in Chief of Imams Online said,

“As a nation we must come together in our grief, condemning the actions of the terrorists ISIS. The cowardly murder of David Haines: a father, husband, and friend to humanity has rocked the country. I call on all British Muslims to join together in our response through prayer and messages of support for all humanitarians to show a unified Britain against the cowards ISIS.”
